Al was born in 1943 in Western Pennsylvania. A Christmas gift of oil paints at the age of 10 began a lifetime passion.

He is a realist painter and enjoys landscape, sea scape, portraiture, and still life painting.  He paints primarily in oils but also has  done some water color paintings.

​

 He is a juried member of the Cape Cod Artists Association since 2003.  Al has been fortunate to be instructed by Arnold Desmarais, Bill Davis and Joe McGurl from which he has taken workshops and courses. With each of these  talented professional artists, he takes away something special which influences his art.

   He has recently retired and can now spend more time with his painting and creating his art business.

 

  "Art is an ever expanding learning experience and I am always learning."  My subject focus is on the beautiful environment of Cape Cod.  More recently vacations in Europe have added to my subject matter which is always expanding.
